FORUM: (IN)ACCESSIBLE CITY?

inFusion Forums represent an essential segment of inFusion – 4th Festival of Inclusion, serving as an inclusive platform for constructive dialogue, critical thinking, and social recommendations. The forums will bring together parents, youth, persons with disabilities, activists, professionals, and institutional representatives in a joint mission for open discussion on the challenges and opportunities to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities.

Over three consecutive days, from June 12 to 15, thematic forum sessions will be held.

FORUM: (In)accessible City?

Is “somewhat” accessibility really full accessibility?

What does the ramp at the entrance of a building mean to a person in a wheelchair if there is no elevator inside?

What does the audible traffic light signal mean to a blind person if there are no tactile paths in the city for them to navigate safely?

How much do architects and urban planning services consider the needs of people with disabilities while the city’s urban landscape is being changed?

OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

Association Equality is opening a call for interested experts, parents, and organizations to be part of the inFusion Forum Zone within inFUSION – 4th Festival of Inclusion, which will be held from June 11 to 15, 2025 at Park Macedonia (Municipality of Kisela Voda).

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

-parents, guardians, assistants, and persons with disabilities

-organizations and individuals active in the field of working with persons with disabilities

–experts involved in education, healthcare, and social protection

–organizations and individuals with socially responsible missions

WHAT DO YOU GET?

By participating in the forum sessions, you will have the opportunity to:

– To share your opinions, experiences, and recommendations for solutions to the challenges faced by persons with disabilities;

– To participate in discussions about institutional support, accessibility, and inclusion in the community;

– To contribute to the creation of recommendations and opportunities for improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities;

– To network with other stakeholders and create opportunities for future collaboration toward a more inclusive future.
