In Macedonia Park, on June 15th at 5:00 PM, together we will contribute to creating potential solutions addressing the following questions:
Is “somewhat” accessibility really full accessibility?
What does the ramp at the entrance of a building mean to a person in a wheelchair if there is no elevator inside?
What does the audible traffic light signal mean to a blind person if there are no tactile paths in the city for them to navigate safely?
How much do architects and urban planning services consider the needs of people with disabilities while the city’s urban landscape is being changed?

Some needs of people with disabilities are universal, but others are specific because everyone has their own unique story and condition.

How to understand each individual while helping everyone?

How important is it for the approach to be individualized in order to be effective? How much can be done service by service, institution by institution, teacher by teacher, doctor by doctor, and how much can be achieved when everyone works together?
On June 14th at 5:00 PM, in Macedonia Park, we will open these important topics and develop a constructive discussion.

Parents of people with disabilities are on a 24/7 mission to overcome architectural, psychological, and bureaucratic barriers — at home, on the street, and in institutions.

How do they overcome them and what solutions do they find on their own to solve problems that should otherwise be handled by institutions or the system?
