From 4 to 20 June, Skopje once again became an open stage for creativity, self-exploration, and unique urban experiences.
The fifth edition of inFusion – Festival of Inclusion begins on 4 June and brings a programme that does not approach social discourse as a topic for discussion, but as an experience to be lived — through art, music, movement, play, new technologies, connection, and public spaces that belong to everyone.
This jubilee year, inFusion opens the city to all generations and senses. The festival begins with a creative embroidery and sewing workshop in cooperation with the State School Centre for Education and Rehabilitation “Partenija Zografski”, continues at the Museum of Contemporary Art with a guided tour featuring sign language interpretation, and the activity “See Through My Eyes” – an immersive experience exploring different types of visual impairments.
The opening will reach its peak on 6 June with the “March of the Excluded” — not as an ordinary walk, but as a symbolic and powerful movement in support of free, safe, and accessible spaces for pedestrians, cyclists, parents with strollers, persons with disabilities, young people, older adults, and everyone who believes that public space should be a space for all. The march will begin at 10:00 AM in front of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, continue past the City of Skopje, and finish at Summer Scene Fan in City Park. Every march deserves great vibes, so from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the programme continues with entertainment featuring DJ Ficho, musical guests, coffee gatherings, gaming, VR experiences, and board games.
“inFusion is not a festival that only talks about inclusion. It creates opportunities for people to meet, learn from one another, experience new things, and see the city from a different perspective. Our mission is simple: to make culture, art, and public spaces accessible, vibrant, and open to everyone,” say the representatives of Equality Association, the festival’s organiser.
Next Saturday, on 13 June, the area around Summer Scene Fan in City Park will be transformed into an all-day festival zone featuring morning yoga, “Quiet Gatherings” – an integrative workshop on non-verbal communication, a creators’ bazaar, a street art workshop, activities focused on assistive technology, Braille, and visual impairment simulations, the “Champions of Inclusion” awards ceremony, and an evening music programme featuring young artists and bands.
The festival story continues on 20 June with “Three Worlds Plus One” – a mobile theatre performance taking place at three locations across City Park. Through theatre, urban space, and the participation of professional actors and persons with disabilities, the performance explores the topic of accessibility in everyday life.

The fifth edition of inFusion carries the message that accessibility is not a technical add-on, but a culture of living. It begins with the way we move, communicate, create, and share spaces. The organisers invite all citizens to join, participate, support, have fun, and become part of a more open, more inclusive, and more vibrant Skopje.
